From the moment we opened the door everything was fantastic. Spacious, clean and well decorated. Everything you needed for a family weekend. Setting was peaceful with beautiful views of the Tor. Lovely welcome pack with delicious cheese made by the hosts.

Simply brilliant. Clean, comfortable, cozy, warm, well equipped. Superb beds. Great location for exploring the area. Run very well by a really friendly family. John Turner lives next door, if anything is required it's a simple matter of asking.

Fantastic place to stay, owner very friendly. Beautiful location. Lost one star due to slightly dirty hot tub, freezer wouldn't close so we lost quite a few quids worth of food and we didn't try the washing machine, but tumble dryer did not spin. Even with these small annoyances we will definitely be going again.

We have stayed many times with Applebarn Holidays in their lovely Applebarn which is located next door to the Farmhouse.
This year was our first stay at the Farmhouse as Applebarn was fully booked. We are a small family of three, with Angel Paws our Westie and totally spoilt for space as the accommodation is for ten people. The house is huge and furnished both tastefully and comfortably with every amenity to make a great stay. Having experienced living in the house for a week I can only say it was fabulous!
Downstairs there is a superbly equipped kitchen with an American fridge/freezer with ice dispenser (lovely for making cooling drinks to sip on balmy Summer evenings). Two large sittings rooms with doors out onto the garden which has very nice out door dining set. There is a utility with washing machine and dryer, downstair shower room (very handy for use of hot tub). Upstairs the bedrooms are large and so comfy, we had the best night's sleep! Ensuite shower rooms nicely appointed. The family bathroom is sumptuous with a gorgeous roll top bath.
Outside:The hot tub is a welcome addition to relax in under the stars. There is a tennis court too! We loved sitting in the garden having morning coffees and evening drinks.
The location is very peaceful and very beautiful with views of Glastonbury Tor and a super walk there over the fields. At the end of the lane and a short walk along the road there is a very nice village Inn (good food & plenty on offer drinks wise, including cocktails). We also enjoyed walking through West Pennard to the Village Church.
We love the location as it is superb for visiting all the delights Somerset has to offer. Wells and the Cathedral and open air market, Glastonbury and the eclectic shops, Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury Abbey, Clarks Shopping Village and the Bath & West Show are all easily accessible.
A little further afield we have visited beautiful Medieval Muchelney, taken a steam train to the Blue Anchor on the coast and to the fabulous village of Dunster. We have had memory making days out to Cheddar Gorge, Longleat, Wookey Hole Caves, Weston Supermare, Porlock and Bath.
The house was a pure delight to stay in and is highly recommended. The Turner family are kind and thoughtful hosts and make guests feel very welcome. We have already booked to return.

John and Rachel are truly exemplary hosts during pandemic times. Throughout the trip planning they patiently answered all of my questions and offered to change the layout of the dining area to fit our group's needs. They even threw in extra fire logs and coals for the BBQ. We adhered to lockdown rules and when the hosting site wasn't being cooperative they willingly took a hit to their host status in order to refund all the costs (including the fees that weren't refundable to the hosts). I appreciate all of the communication and look forward to reprising our stay on the farm someday.

The photos on the website don’t do it justice....it is far more spacious internally and it looks as though it’s on a road and not a long driveway with no traffic. It was beautifully clean, provided plenty of towels, large comfortable beds and equipped with everything we needed. We would suggest a larger teapot (or a second one).... and coat hooks in the hall under the stairs would be helpful.....other than that it was a fabulous house to stay in.....thank you!

My daughter and her family are renting this house. I think the house has been renovated to a very high standard and the whole place is very modern, comfortable and stylish. The owners must be justifiably proud of their achievement!
